I had always been interested in programming trying out code on an Amstrad Green screen.
I really took an interest in 1999 when I got my first proper computer, and built my first website advertising products online. A little too early for e-commerce. I have qualifications with Chartered institute of Marketing/Chartered institute of Logistics and transport.
In 2010 I incorporated Cocoonfxmedia Ltd as Web design and Marketing company

That put me in good stead throughout my design career. I have a great passion for the design process, where and how it can be used, and spreading the notion that creativity is not just the remit of designers and people trained in the creative industries.
I completed my MA in Design Management in 2015.

I started designing and building websites in 2007, undertaking evening courses at Birbeck University of London to pursue my interest further. Since then, I've worked for an international academic membership association, improving their online presence and in web marketing at the University of Birmingham.
Recently, I've become really interested in how to make the design process more accessible and engaging. I enjoy the challenge of evaluating tools and techniques and then applying these to solve tricky problems.
Outside of work I enjoy sketching (I originally studied a BA in Fine Art) and am part of a regular drawing meet up that I co-founded. I'm also a keen swimmer and enjoy walking in the Staffordshire countryside and further afield.
