Case Study: Complementing high-tech ideas with web design solutions
The importance of accurate representation
The aim of a good IT company is simple really. They need to provide the very best solutions for their clients technology needs and make the process as simple and as straightforward as possible.
MT Services accomplish this every day. As a company established since 1975, they have many years experiencing the ebbs and flows of the digital world and had evolved their strategies in order to meet the ever-changing needs of their clients.
However, it was those strategies that led them to review their online image and ask some serious questions:
‘Is our website just as user-friendly as the IT solutions we offer?’
‘Does it reflect the high standard and expertise we expect from our staff?’
‘Can it effectively showcase our new technologies?’
Unconvinced that they had answered those questions acceptably, they turned to us.
Meeting high expectations
When MT Services approached us following a recommendation we knew that this would be a high profile project. Customers would be extra-judgmental when viewing the website, most likely looking for reassurance that this information technology company were indeed…technologically well informed.
You see, a customer may forgive a great cake-making company for a poor website, after all, it’s all about the chocolate fudge topping. But a company clued up in the latest technology with a complex understanding of computers? Well, their website design needs to reflect just that; in a user-friendly way of course.
Thankfully MT Services came to the right place. Here at Cocoonfxmedia we pride ourselves on our superb design centric and engaging websites, whatever your services may be. To achieve this we employed a process of continual collaboration with MT Services who had a clear idea of what they wanted their users to experience. With that vision, we set to work making it a reality.
Double the challenge
Following a complete design consultation, work began on the concepts. Yes, the use of plural is correct here because through our consultations it was decided that a second website should be launched. A website dedicated to their newest development, Sinica.
Sinica is MT Services high-tech central visitor and staff management system; a customisable touch-screen service that clients can purchase to log and monitor visits to and from an office base. This system would require a separate web presence. We continued production of plans and design simultaneously to develop and launch two websites that would make use of similar branding, but would still be distinctly stand-alone.
User functionality was crucial. To ensure that MT Services website was as user-friendly as their solutions, we designed and built an interactive service plan. This allowed their clients to access a wealth of information in a uniformed and structured grid by simply selecting an area of interest. Another reflection of MT Services customer focused services.
Here at Cocoonfxmedia we like our clients to be as involved in the build as they want and with such a high stake riding on their web presence, we made sure that MT Services could view the build as often as required and could contact us with any suggestions or changes whenever they needed to.
This proved to be a great form of reassurance for MT Services who stated:
“GREAT COMMUNICATION (ALWAYS AVAILABLE BY PHONE OR EMAIL) AND THE WEBSITE WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY. AS THE PROCESS DEVELOPED AND WE ASKED FOR CERTAIN CHANGES, THESE WERE NOT A PROBLEM AND WERE COMPLETED EXACTLY TO HOW WE HAD DESCRIBED THEM. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE FINAL DESIGN OF THE WEBSITE, AND THE CONSTANT SUPPORT FOR ANY WORDPRESS ISSUES. WE WILL NOW BE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY IN THE NEW YEAR FOR OUR SEO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

Web design to complement quality IT support
With our efforts solidly focused on key functionality and with extensive user acceptance tests complete, the websites were launched in record time.
MT Services could now promote two new websites; the main website focusing on their SystemCare support services and the secondary website promoting their visitor and staff management system, Sinica.
Both websites boosted the reputation of MT Services as a trusted and professional IT company offering clear, straight-forward solutions to their clients and MT Services could confidently agree that their online image now complement their quality IT support.
