A Lichfield-based web development agency has helped to completely transform the way of working for a Birmingham accountancy firm.
Cocoonfxmedia Ltd designed a brand new bespoke software system to fully digitalise the internal processes at Younis Bhatti & Co Ltd, resulting in a much more streamlined and efficient service.
The award-winning web development and digital marketing agency built the online accounts management portal from the ground up, hosted on its legendary fast servers.
Younis Bhatti & Co. is a family firm operating for nearly forty years and has clients ranging from sole traders and entrepreneurs to large corporates from a range of sectors. Their growth has been through word-of-mouth and based on strong customer service. Saqib Bhatti, director at Younis Bhatti and current President of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, approached Cocoonfxmedia Ltd because he wanted to embrace technology to move the firm from manual processes to digital processes.
What the accountancy software does
The new portal has fully digitalised and automated all processes carried out by the firm of accountants to create a centralised system through which all tasks are created and managed.
Staff simply input a client name into the system and it pulls all the relevant information from Companies House to create an account for them. Within that, Younis Bhatti can switch on the various services the client has requested and the system will produce tasks whenever something needs actioning, such as PAYE or VAT.
Tasks are displayed as red, amber and green and users can monitor how many tasks are open, who’s doing what and when, and crucially, accurately log the time taken to complete a task.
The system will flag tasks that are taking too long and where staff need further training and development, or where communications with a particular client need to be improved.

The system manages VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns, PAYE, confirmation statements, year-end accounts, personal tax, and specialised accounts for particular industries and also assists with GDPR compliance.
As well as being current President of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Saqib Bhatti is also honorary chairman of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Westside Business Improvement District and Director for Business Support and Diversity at the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP.
