A common mis conception is that meta keywords influence your search engine rankings. About 5 years ago that may have been the case. However theses days the Meta Keywords are not even looked at by the search engines. In fact if this area is rammed with keywords you could get penalties from Google.
The only meta tag which is considered important is the Meta Description and if this part is written correctly you should get a higher click through rate.
