Account Setup

Cocoonfxmedia will provide instruction on how to get your site up and running with your new web hosting account.

You first you will need a domain name which has its name servers pointing to our server. We will then provide you with a URL to access our advanced easy to user cPanel administration area.

From here you can setup and FTP account we would recommend filezilla (click here to download) its free and easy to use. You then can simply drag and drop your new website on to your account.

Transferring a domain

Name Servers

Cocoonfxmedia does not charge for using your domain if you are currently hosted elsewhere. You simply need to change the name servers. We will provide these on email when you set up an account with us. However, your current host may charge a fee to release or modify your domain name record - please check with them for more information..

 

 

I want to install 3rd Party Software
Please check!

Open Source

Cocoonfxmedia does allow the use of most open source PHP software. So Wordpress, Zencart,Oscommerce you can install without permission. However you must have experience with administrating the installation of such programs. Cocoonfxmedia can provide technical support at our standard hourly rate.

If there is any other open source software you wish to install please check as the software may not be compatible with our servers.

What not acceptable?

Offensive/Adult Material

We do not allow adult material, foul or abusive language, Warez, illegal MP3 sites, Slander / Libel, impersonations, promotion of violence or terrorism, racial / sexual / political discrimination or other services we deem inappropriate. The designation of "adult material" is left entirely to the discretion of Cocoonfxmedia Ltd and includes pornography and escort agencies. Warez - Includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking. IP spoofing, etc., and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.

3rd Party Access

If you share your password or access to a 3rd party company or website Cocoonfxmedia Ltd will hold the account owner responsible for making sure any scripts or access is virus free. If the 3rd party access deploys a virus or causes performance issues with our servers, the account owner will be charged for what ever is required to restore the server. Your account will also be terminated.

 

My sites gone down?
Don't panic!

Backup

Cocoonfxmedia backs up it servers daily, all accounts are included in this.

However your own web hosting account gives you the option to do additional site backups. It is highly recommended that you create your own backups.

There is a service charge for doing a server backup of £60+ VAT which needs to be made prior to a reinstall of your account.
